Mounting Options

3 Swivel casters

This type of mounting is recommended for small to medium size carts with small loading capacity. Ideal for narrow corridors, easily laterally driven, with some difficulty in straight paths. If load is not placed in the center of the dollies, there is a risk to rollover.

Corresponds to the most inexpensive mounting, suggested for small load capacity carts with a small to medium size. Easily driven in straight tips, with some difficulty to move it laterally. If load is not placed in the center of the dollies, there is a risk to rollover.

4 Swivel casters

This solution is recommended when the cart is to be moved in reduced spaces and it is necessary to push or pull the dollies through different areas, there might be some difficulty to drive it in straight trips. This mounting provides a very good load capacity. Prevents the rollover risk, even if loads are not evenly distributed in the dollies.

This is the most used mounting, it moves easily both in straight and curved trips, although there might be some difficulty to drive it in narrow spaces. It provides a very good load capacity. Prevents the rollover risk even if loads are not evenly distributed in the dollies.

Load is distributed mainly over the two fixed central casters, and swivel casters operate as support. This type of mounting provides good load capacity with regular stability, since there is a rollover risk if the load is placed out of the center and the dollies are laterally pulled.

4 Fixed casters in diamond accommodation

This is the most inexpensive solution for medium loads and for dollies preferably traveling in straight direction. Maintenance cost is minimum with this type of mounting. Good load capacity with regular stability is obtained, since there is a rollover risk if the load is placed out of the center.

This is the best type of mounting for big size and heavy load dollies. Excellent driving is obtained both in straight and curved trips. It offers excellent stability and load capacity.

TYPES OF WHEEL BEARINGS

Bearing

A bearing contains two leading rings, one external and the other one internal, with a row of steel balls side by side. Generally, no special maintenance is required since they are manufactured with a long-lasting lubricant.

Bearings can handle combined axial and radial forces, making them the ideal application for higher work demands, including heavy loads required for higher speed movement.

Rolling and moving resistance is lower ensuring easy movement.

Among its variations, we find those with no cover, and those with a metal or plastic one, where the cover is an additional protection from dust and dirt.

Bushing (nylon, metal)

The bushing is a simple component, it is inexpensive and break resistant, and depending on the model, a nylon or a metal bushing is available. Nylon bushings are also corrosion resistant.

Use is limited to low speed and short run applications.

It has a high rolling and moving resistance, meaning that applying a higher force is required to move wheels with bushings.

Under normal conditions, bushings do not require any maintenance.

Inappropriate use of bushings, by using them too fast or applying a higher load capacity, may cause overheating or distortion as a result thereof.

Features of the wheel material:
Resistant to detergents, chemicals and solvents at room temperature, good resistance to moisture, stress and compression. Very good resistance to shock and traction.

Color: Black, yellow, red, white, blue, ask for other colors.

Maximum operating speed: 1.864 mile/hour

Thermoplastic rubber

Features of the wheel material:
Do not stain or damage the floors, silent and smooth movement, good driving on irregular floors.

Color: Grey

Operating temperature: -22° at 176° F

Maximum operating speed: 1.864 mile/hour

Polyethylene

Features of the wheel material:
Not recommended for floors where chips or small metal objects may be found, since they can be incrusted in the wheel.

Color: White, ask for other colors.

Polyurethane

Features of the wheel material:
Good resistance to abrasion, chemicals and strikes. Do not damage the floors, it is silent.

Color: Red, blue, grey.

Nylon

Features of the wheel material:
Resistant to abrasion, distortion and impact, high toughness, excellent rigidity, good resistance to heat, resistant to chemicals, does not require lubrication, high hardness, it has a long useful life, it is non-stick and absorbs shocks and vibration.

Color: Black, white.

Operating temperature: -40° at 212° F

Maximum operating speed: 1.864 mile/hour

Iron cast

Features of the wheel material:
Higher load capacity and less rolling resistance, the best option for extremely severe working conditions with cutting objects, chemical products. It spins easily and has excellent performance on irregular floors with chips.

Color: Blue

Maximum operating speed: 1.864 mile/hour

Hard rubber

Features of the wheel material:
Good shock resistance, shock and vibration absorbent, silent, low resistance to outdoor conditions, not resistant to acids, potential staining.

Color: Black

Operating temperature: 14° at 104° F

Maximum operating speed: 1.864 mile/hour

Rubber

Features of the wheel material:
Good shock resistance, absorbs vibrations, low resistance to outdoor conditions, not resistant to acids, potential staining.

Color: Black

Operating temperature: -22° at 158° F

Phenolic resin

Features of the wheel material:
Good resistance to acids and soluble liquids , excellent mechanical properties and resistance to temperature and corrosion.

Color: Green

Elastic solid rubber

Features of the wheel material:
Made of high-quality elastic solid rubber, in smooth rolling quality “Blickle EasyRoll", very high operational comfort, low-noise operation, low rolling resistance, very good floor preservation, vulcanised on the wheel centre.

Polyurethane with aluminium rim
